The Sat. before the 4th, Honey and Grandpa came over to go with Travis and the bigs to the local parade. Jacob stayed with me to take a nice nap in the cool a/c.
Afterwards, a big as yo' face snowcone
Hugs!
No fireworks this year...Ellie is terr.i.fied! and we all go to bed too early!

a little commentary bc I feel like it today
If you wonder why I always wear workout clothes to HEB when I have to take the kids with me, just watch the show! todays started with the normal chaos of getting out the door. and trying to figure out how I will cart all three and have room for groceries and peaked when Jacob had a blowout in the car that I noticed as I was ready to put him in the bjorn. changing it in the mind blowing heat and listening to Alex and Ellie whine that they wanted to go in bc they were hot- because of course I only realized the blowout after I got them out and put them in the cart. only to realize that I left my list at home and had to listen to J cry in the bjorn on the back half since he only took a 10 min nap in the car. there was a lady that actually stopped and just watched me at the checkout. she was remembering herself 20 years ago. as much work as it is, that thought makes me tear up! I love my babies! and I know I will look back at young struggling moms and my heart will go out to them but I will look back fondly on the crazy days! I cant believe that Jacob is 5 months old today!
I feel like God has sent several moms my way since having Jacob and this lady today was one of them. There was also a lady at the pool a couple of weeks ago that had 8 children. Yes, 8! I was as shocked as you. But she had a smile on her face and had such a positive attitude. It was inspiring. She had just driven in from Michigan with all 8 in a van with no ac! And they were laughing about it as they told me! Wow. She said two key quotes that I now love- "God gives ya some spicy ones!" and "That last one, number 8, oh, she eats nails!"
And a long while back I ran into a lady in Whataburger. I know that God placed her there. I was alone and taking all three to the bathroom (only because it was going bad in the car). She was waiting outside the door for us to finish and I was so embarrassed because I am sure she heard the screams by both my wild children and then me to get them quiet, "dont touch the gross floor", and my newborn as I changed his diaper on the floor (yuck!). We also took probably 20 minutes! This lady had to be like 90 years old and she simply smiled and said "oh, no, don't worry! I had 10." I am sorry?! What?! Well, put me to shame with my three and give me a good kick in the pants to pick it up! She was super sweet and just supporting but it made me realize that I need to stop the pity party and enjoy my "simple" 3 :)
since I know you will be sad if I dont post a picture...
all it took was me falling over into the toys to get them to laugh at me. at least jacob was concerned ;)

Jacob's Baptisim
It was a wonderful day and we were blessed to have so much family there to witness. It was a beautiful blessing that brought tears to my eyes.
Jacob wore the same little outfit that Alex wore for his Dedication when he was about 4 months old. It was a little big but it still looked adorable. I think its sweet that they can share such a special outfit.
these family shots were asking a lot
don't ask me why we let the other two up there with us...we put on a good show
Jacob did amazingly well! not a peep or a wimper outta him...it was a miracle

he's got the joy joy joy down in his heart ;)

Alex turned 4!
I am way late on this one and totally skipped it when blogging but I still love you little one!! and as always I will break this down a bit and do his party and then post on his birthday and a little about him at this age.
Well, in my haste of planning his party while in my last few weeks of being pregnant/having a newborn, I planned it at a place I had never even been to. Great idea, right?! We went to check it out the week of the party because I was getting nervous and that only made me even more nervous because it was GHE-TTO. But Alex insisted that it looked super fun and he wanted his party there...that's all that matters, right?! So, Kiddie Acres it was!
and you know what?! it was the best party place ever! The kids had an absolute blast! and it was so easy for me as the hostess and reasonable in price! We got super lucky with an overcast windy day to keep it cool and dodged the rain. I decided to keep it small and do boys only and during afternoon nap time so there was no meal to serve. It was a great party!! You can tell by all the BIG smiles! I had a hard time narrowing down all the super cute pictures of all the fun!
you should see all the others taken in this series...silly boys!!
It HAD to be Cars2 theme...and the easiest way for me to do that was with these cupcakes. Printed the cars and poked em in. My "grass" didn't really turn out but the boys didn't seem to notice. ;) And I was kinda proud of my racetrack idea on the bottom level of the stand.
The actual party was too windy for me to set the cupcakes out but you get the idea.
My sweet big boy....soooo excited to be sung to! And you might notice his shirt of choice- blue, fav color, and Cars.
this girl was a HOOT! probably had the most fun of anyone!
what a good sport and momma Kelly is!
trouble at the back of the train

Ellie's new friend that she rode several rides with :)
Travis and I got a huge kick out of watching the video of this ride. Ellie cuts around the ticket girl and b-lines straight for the purple car. She knows what she wants. Poor Connor wanted to ride with Alex but instead got a date :)
She could stay here all day!
It's just so sad that he didn't have any fun...
What?! I slept through the whole thing?!
