Uncle Time

Uncle Matt hanging out with Alex on his front porch watching the rain. He loves it!

Hanging out with Dad waiting for Mom to get home. I could see his lil face over the front bushes as I drove up and it was just too precious!

Uncle Vinnie came to visit this week! He is trying to put Longhorn spirit on Alex and it just wont stick! I keep telling him he is Aggie through and through! Alex actually really liked Uncle V! He actually fell asleep on his chest, which is rare for a visitor! The doc has a way with the babies! :)

Fun Foto Friday!

Here is my lil chunker...he is getting so big you wouldn't think its the same baby! It has felt like he gains overnight! This is my "FAVORITE FRIDAY FOTO"

We are officially out of our newborn clothes- well the Gerber ones for sure are way to small. I think I gave Alex a baby wedgie for a few days before I gave in. So, we are now in 0-3mo outfits and it is so fun to have new clothes! They are just so cute on him!

He is still eating like a champ, including through the night...I am lucky to get 3 hours of sleep at a time still. I am praying for a miracle every night. :) He does go right back to sleep though and that makes it a little easier to deal with. Not to mention with all the good summer reality shows on right now- I have plenty to record and watch at night. Sometimes I don't even want to go back to bed yet- I want to see who gets kicked off or how it ends! :)

We have had some difficult days this week- Alex sure can be a spoiled lil bug...he loves to be held to say the least. But when we have good mornings like today, the tough times melt away in his sweet face. So it was time for a photo shoot...

He is smiling and laughing more and more (mostly on the changing table still though)! Too bad I can't seem to capture it yet.

Alexander is a mover and a shaker! I couldn't keep his arms or legs still if I tried!

Its a hard life being a baby model...enough already ma! :(

Too much fun for a stay at home mom!

So, its nap time here at team isaacson and mommas got too much free time...well not really, but I try to give myself "fun time" to keep sane. This normally includes checking other blogs and updating mine. I hope you enjoy the newest addition to the blog- music! :) I think its fun and creates quite a mood! I really am way too into this thing! :)
If you check this at work you might need to turn your volume off! haha! Don't want to get busted!

The Fam

Honey came to visit the other day and so we decided we needed a family picture. This is the first one since the hospital. Alex is 5 weeks old! Don't mind the Christmas colors (shoot!)! :)

Travis said it was about time I was on the blog...

I love my Honey! She is soo good to me!
Daddy time is so sweet.

Happy Father's Day!

It melts my heart to see Travis holding Alex. He is so small in his arms. I know they will be best buddies and there is nothing more a mom could wish for. He is a fantastic father already and I can see how much he loves Alex everyday!

Happy Fathers Day to ALL the dads out there!

Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'....

You know the song...go ahead sing a little to yourself. :)
As I was shooting how high Alex can hold his head (he is such a big boy!), he decided to ROLL OVER!! I caught the whole process (like a flip book)! I am a proud mama! :) I am sure it was a fluke but he IS very strong! Watch out Arnold Schwarzenegger (can you believe that name is in the spell check, haha)!

I month old!

I decided to try to do a little photo shoot for Alex's 1 month documentation (which is 4 weeks yesterday and 1 month on Friday, if that makes sense, so what do ya use?!).

Well, I think he is just as cute as a button but he didn't really cooperate too well. It always makes me laugh.

Things have been good. I would like to quote from a fellow blogger that I admire- I tend to sport the " sweet perfume of sour milk" on my shirt these days. Mmmm....lovely. I feel like Alex and I change clothes so many times in one day you would think it was a beauty pageant.

I just started walking in the mornings...not by choice. Alex has been up early and wide awake. He forces me outta bed and outside! It is the only time we could really go since it is so gosh darn hot all day! It IS really good for me to get the exercise but I would much rather stay in bed and take one more nap time! :)

I just love to look at him. He is starting to smile more and even when he is awake. I love to watch him sleep like an angel. I love when he is done eating and has milk on his lips. I love his beautiful eyes (that I am determined will be blue! they are a greyish blue right now)! I love that his favorite place is on our chests, cuddled up under our chins. I love to kiss his soft cheeks and see him kinda blink in awe, like "What are you doing to me!?" I love our lil Alexander.

Our Lil Chubby Bunny

Well, we went back in for our weight check on Thursday and our "little" guy weighs 8 lbs 7 oz! Yea!! He is gaining like a champ! :)

The Burkharts came to visit Alex!

Alex loves to be outside. Its our "trick" for getting him to settle down and stop wailing. The minute you step through the door, he is silent, still, and listening! He will even fall asleep! We love it!

I wanted to post a quick "success" story since so many of you liked the Target horror story (haha). I did go to HEB with Alex after the doc on Thursday and he made it through the whole trip without waking up! YEA! He only started crying a little at the checkout and then went back to sleep. Success! :)

Got Milk?

Today Alex is 3 weeks old!
Check out "Big-foot"! Still sweet even if they are huge!

The Bass Family came to visit this weekend!

Beautiful Isabella...I can't believe how much she has grown up! Alex likes older girls ;)
The lil piggy has been eating a ton so I thought this onsie was very appropriate for the week. He has also been quite fussy, hence the photo. Oh, the joy! :) I am such a mean mom to take a picture of the "pain."
We LOVE when Daddy comes home!!

Check out the lil frog we found! How could you not eat that up!
