One Week Old

Here is our official one week old bear picture. I think I am going to be a little better at these this go round. Although, I am posting it late. Eliana is actually two weeks old today. We went to the doctor this morning and she is doing so well!! Gold stars for us! Her weight is 7lbs 11 oz which way surpassed her birth weight of 7lbs 1oz- YEA!! I was so nervous about this because she doesn't nurse for very long....turns out she is very efficient! Love it! So, this means that I can let her sleep at night as long as she wants and I don't have to wake her up- wahoo! Cause this girl is a sleeper! Sooo different from Alex. I hate to compare so much but it is so hard not to and I think it is so interesting.

Eliana is so well behaved and just so easy going. She was so good for the doctor and barely fussed with they pricked her foot for her pku test. We even went to the grocery store after and she just slept the whole time. Thanks to Honey for watching Alex! And for wearing him out at the park so that he took a great nap today too! :)

I also want to post a few pictures of some visitors we have had...

Evan and Ella Kate...can't wait to see our kiddos grow up together playing in the yard! :) Its just too perfect that we both have boys and then girls! Alex just loves Evan and I know the girls will be BFF in no time!

Shelby and Madison, getting ready for their new addition any day now!! :) Madison will be a super big sister- she LOVES babies!

I survived my first day alone with the kids yesterday...it went really well. We didn't go anywhere but had a great day! Alex is a great helper and Eliana is just a great baby!

I feel as though the big bro has been a little neglected on the blog lately so here is a little love for Alexander. We got a train set from our rockin' cuz Holly a while back and kept it in the attic since Alex wasn't quite ready for it yet. We decided that this would be a good time to get it out though. You know, give Alex something to keep him busy and happy and fun since this is a big transition for him. He LOVES it! We haven't set up the whole thing but he still spends plenty of time doing the "whoo whoo"!

Queen Bee Photography

We got our sneak peek back from the photographer....she is so good.

Alex turns two (sigh) next month so I asked her to do a few shots of just him too. He is in love (understatement) with cars so this was so fitting and helped keep him still :)

I cant wait to see them all! Miss Eliana is just a born model if you ask me ;) It was a LONG morning (Adriana, you are a rock star with patience) but SOO worth the effort. These were taken when she was 6 days old.

Eliana's Room

Since so many of you have requested a tour of the room...here it is. It ended up being super girly which I never had in mind...but I think she will love it even as she grows up to a little girl. I still need little touches like picture frames and such. I have struggled with the silly border (what to do in it and) because it is right at hanging level. I would like to put up a hanging shelf with lil bits on it but haven't decided how to do it yet. And the curtains were a pain in my bee-hind! Still want to add some panels but couldn't decide what to get...got sick...had a baby...you know. Maybe someday! :)
We pieced this room together using the furniture we already had and just added a crib. We splurged on the rocker....oh its heavenly. We went ahead and got it in dark wood so that we could move it out later on and it would either resale better or go better in other rooms. The bedding is from Pottery Barn Kids but it was a great deal on Clearance!

My favorite part...butterfly mobile from Pottery Barn Kids
All you need is faith and trust...and a little pixie dust!
(above the changing table)

love these little flower hooks for her towels

Someday soon it will say Eliana in the border above her crib

These are little hanging fairies also from PBkids that I just pinned to the wall

She's Here!

Miss Eliana Faith Isaacson joined the team on Tuesday, April 13th, 2010 at 8:48pm. She weighed 7lbs 1oz and measured 18in. She is blonde (well, what little hairs she has) and blue eyed and just as sweet as can be! Labor went well and it all happened so very fast! More details to come! and you know the pictures are coming too!! ;) Everyone is doing well!! Alex is loving his little sister and has really loved all the visitors and excitement! I swear he grew overnight while we were in the hospital- in size and maturity!

last belly pic...on my way to the hospital!

We have been in a whirlwind all week...we came home from the hospital on Thursday and already went to the pediatrician yesterday. Our lives are officially busy- we are a family of 4! yikes!!

Thanks for all the love and support from all our friends and family! We truly appreciate it and it has just made this special time so fun!

Easter

Well, in short, it was wet and yucky for Easter morning...so typical right?! So these pics are not that pretty and there was no fun egg hunt.
We DID have a great time with family- church and a yummy lunch! I am so blessed to have them all so close!

Thank goodness for Uncle Chad being young, strong, and energetic!
Cousins!!
The Easter Bunny is so cool...look what he brought Alex!
His basket would have been a little fuller, but somebody found the Cars early...oops, lazy easter bunny.

Easter Exploring

The day before Easter we went to Honey and Grandpa Steve's house to play! The live on the edge of a forest that has fun trails for the neighborhood....super fun to explore on such a beautiful day!

Alex "catching some shade" under the BIG belly, says Travis (thanks, I know I am big)
hunting for bugs is serious stuff
he tried really hard to catch the butterflies (he calls them "b"s, actually he is in a phase where anything that starts with B he calls "b")
does it get much sweeter? my boys!!
Alex hasn't seen Grandpa in a long time! He missed him so, he had to give extra lovin to him!

Thats their house from the back (Alex is counting with me)
We had a delicious lunch in between our play times and Alex was really into sitting in the big chairs. He has since decided he should sit in the big chairs at our house too. He is fully capable now of scooting them out and crawling up. He tests out all the chairs before making final selection. And the other day he scooted a chair all the way across the house to the back door and was sitting in it looking out the back door window! Silly boy!

Choo Choo and Petting Zoo

Here is a little catch up post...

Henrik turned 2 and had a fun Choo Choo party! We got to ride the train at Williamson County Park (very cute and a fun outing, fyi).

had to have a train snack
The kids really just enjoyed running around the empty playing fields too. It was a good thing Travis was there cause this mama ain't running anywhere.

Henrik is such a cutie! Happy Birthday Bud!!

Ready to ride
diggin' in

After the party we went to the neighborhood Easter party at the park. We were too late for the egg hunt but we got to pet the animals. Alex liked the baby goats best (sooo much more than those vicious big goats at the Rodeo!)

this picture cracks me up only because "the goat lady" is in it...she was very interesting ;)
