a little commentary bc I feel like it today

If you wonder why I always wear workout clothes to HEB when I have to take the kids with me, just watch the show! todays started with the normal chaos of getting out the door. and trying to figure out how I will cart all three and have room for groceries and  peaked when Jacob had a blowout in the car that I noticed as I was ready to put him in the bjorn. changing it in the mind blowing heat and listening to Alex and Ellie whine that they wanted to go in bc they were hot- because of course I only realized the blowout after I got them out and put them in the cart. only to realize that I left my list at home and had to listen to J cry in the bjorn on the back half since he only took a 10 min nap in the car. there was a lady that actually stopped and just watched me at the checkout. she was remembering herself 20 years ago. as much work as it is, that thought makes me tear up! I love my babies! and I know I will look back at young struggling moms and my heart will go out to them but I will look back fondly on the crazy days! I cant believe that Jacob is 5 months old today!

I feel like God has sent several moms my way since having Jacob and this lady today was one of them. There was also a lady at the pool a couple of weeks ago that had 8 children. Yes, 8! I was as shocked as you. But she had a smile on her face and had such a positive attitude. It was inspiring. She had just driven in from Michigan with all 8 in a van with no ac! And they were laughing about it as they told me! Wow. She said two key quotes that I now love- "God gives ya some spicy ones!" and "That last one, number 8, oh, she eats nails!"

And a long while back I ran into a lady in Whataburger. I know that God placed her there. I was alone and taking all three to the bathroom (only because it was going bad in the car). She was waiting outside the door for us to finish and I was so embarrassed because I am sure she heard the screams by both my wild children and then me to get them quiet, "dont touch the gross floor", and my newborn as I changed his diaper on the floor (yuck!). We also took probably 20 minutes! This lady had to be like 90 years old and she simply smiled and said "oh, no, don't worry! I had 10." I am sorry?! What?! Well, put me to shame with my three and give me a good kick in the pants to pick it up! She was super sweet and just supporting but it made me realize that I need to stop the pity party and enjoy my "simple" 3 :)

since I know you will be sad if I dont post a picture...
all it took was me falling over into the toys to get them to laugh at me. at least jacob was concerned ;)
